focus areas. The successful candidate will lead the design of simple and complex fixed bridges, movable bridges and perform bridge inspections with growing office. With over 600 talented employees located across 30 offices nationwide, HandH can efficiently and effectively handle assignments of all sizes, types, and delivery methods around the country and across the globe.ResponsibilitiesStructural Engineer or Project Engineer on major projectsPrepare detailed plans and construction documents for the assigned taskPerform engineering calculations pertaining to and in support of the detailed plans and construction documents developedDevelop contract specifications and contract bid documents, and technical report writingOccasional field site visitsCoordinate various discipline and payment items within the construction documentsProvide mentoring and training to junior staffRequirementsBS in Civil Engineering requiredPE License required (preferably in ME or NH)A minimum of eight years of Structural Engineering experience with a focus on bridge designExperience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production of bridge projects following Federal and State codeAbility to work effectively as part of a design team and manage small design groups and projectsexperience with current FEM modeling softwareExperience with local client base preferable (MaineDOT, NHDOT)Must be detail and goal-oriented, a self-starter and proficient in both verbal and written communicationsBenefitsWe offer a professional work environment, a competitive salary, a benefits package, and 401(k).EOE
