Halcyon is looking for a highly motivated
Business Development Representative (BDR)
to join our growing sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and generating pipeline within the cybersecurity and ransomware protection space. This role will primarily focus on the
UK market , with additional coverage across
Nordics and Benelux . The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a proactive approach to sales, and a passion for the cybersecurity industry.Responsibilities
Lead Generation:
Prospect, identify, and qualify potential customers through inbound and outbound prospecting (calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach).Client Engagement:
Engage with decision-makers in target companies to understand their cybersecurity needs, challenges, and pain points, particularly related to ransomware threats.Sales Support:
Work closely with Sales and Marketing to execute lead generation campaigns and outreach strategies.Pipeline Management:
Maintain an accurate pipeline of prospects and manage lead data within Salesforce.Educate and Qualify:
Share Halcyon’s value proposition and qualify leads for hand-off to Account Executives.Nurturing:
Consistently follow up with leads and ensure engagement until they are ready for deeper sales conversations.Market Intelligence:
Stay up to date with industry trends, the competitive landscape, and ransomware threats to communicate value effectively.Requirements
1–3 years of experience in sales development or business development, preferably in cybersecurity or technology.Strong communication skills (written and verbal).Knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, especially ransomware threats, is a plus.Experience with CRM and sales systems (Salesforce, Salesloft/Outreach, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator, Gong, etc.).Proactive and able to thrive both independently and in a collaborative team.Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales activity targets and KPIs.Comprehensive private healthcare (medical, dental) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependentsCompany pension schemeCompany-paid short- and long-term disability, basic life, and ADandD insuranceFlexible annual leave policyPaid parental leaveGenerous equity packageCompensation
