Your new company A renowned education provider in the Southport area has approached Hays seeking an IT Technician to join their established team, who have a passion for providing a high level of IT support to both staff and pupils across the college. The organisation offers a diverse range of courses to students and therefore has a varied technology landscape with state-of-the-art facilities, with the sole purpose of ensuring a high level of education is provided for students. Reporting to the Head of IT, the successful IT Technician will join a supportive team and will have the opportunity to further develop their skills and knowledge. Your new role As an IT Technician, you will work closely with the wider IT team to support them in the delivery of IT services across the college, supporting both students and staff to a high level. Responsibilities for this role will include:Responding to IT service requests from end usersSupporting users in the setting up of accounts and completing password changesResolving user errors which may relate to hardware, software or bespoke equipment. Providing IT support to students during lessons and exams. Ensuring an up-to-date register is kept of all IT equipment and ordering consumables as and when required.
