Rehabilitation Consultant Psychiatrist

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a committed Rehabilitation Consultant Psychiatrist to work in an exceptional neurological service based in the St Neots, Cambridgeshire area.You will be working for one of UK''s leading health care providersThis hospital provides care, therapeutic and rehabilitation pathways for those affected by a neurological or mental health condition for which challenging behaviour may be the leading impairment**To be considered for this position you must have an MRCPsychiatry or equivalent with full GMC registration**As the Consultant Psychiatrist your key responsibilities include:Responsible for the administration of the Mental Health Act, Clinical Policy, Clinical Standards and associated administrative tasks in respect of service usersManage and evaluate the medical service through audits, ensuring clinical policy, practice and its application are research-based and of an excellent standardWork in conjunction with external stakeholders to map and facilitate the service users'' journey back into the communityChair ward MDT (ICR) meetingsEnsure the adequate working of the Care Programme Approach for service usersInvolvement in the assessment of referrals and ensure that the service meets the needs of those who are appropriately admittedContribute to the training, education and development of staff of all disciplinesParticipate in delivering Clinical GovernanceThe following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:Excellent spoken and written communication skillsInnovative and imaginative with the ability to initiate corporate decisionsLeadership abilityThe ability to affect change professionally and organisationallyUnderstanding of current developments in psychiatry and other aspects of mental healthKnowledge of change management, relevant legislation, contemporary cases in mental and physical healthPrevious consultant experiencePrevious experience in a management roleThe successful Consultant Psychiatrist will receive an excellent Competitive Salary.We currently have permanent vacancies for both full time and part time hours available.In return for your hard work and commitment you will receive the following generous benefits:**£8,400 Car Allowance + up to £8,000 relocation**30 days annual leave plus bank holidays and your birthday off!A Group Personal Pension Plan (GPPP) and pension contributionLife Assurance for added peace of mindEnhanced Maternity Package so you can truly enjoy this special timeFree meals while on dutyEmployee Assistance ServicesCareer development and training to help you achieve your career goalsWellbeing support and activities to help you maintain a great work-life balanceVoluntary benefitsMedical indemnity coverReference ID: 6743To apply for this fantastic job role, please call on 0121 638 0567 or send your CV
