Job Description SummaryGE Vernova’s Power Conversion and Storage business provides electrification systems that are critical to customers’ power and energy needs for their high-performance applications. We work with some of the world’s major energy, maritime and industrial organizations, helping to enable a transition to energy efficiency and decarbonization, including through our specialist motors, drives and control technologies.
Job DescriptionJoin our dev team in Rugby and utilize your software skills to develop cutting edge solutions used in GE Power Conversion’s range of Remote monitoring, Engineering and HMI Operator Interface products and systems.
As a developer, you will focus on maintaining and developing both frontend and backend of our core security software solution written in NodeJS and AngularJS, used by various GE Vernova products. You will work in agile teams, collaborating with Product Leadership to transform customer needs into next-generation control and communication products that are cloud-connected.
Responsibilities include:
Creating UI/UX wireframes following corporate design guidelines.
Participating in all phases of software development from requirements to deployment.
Writing technical documentation.
Engaging with internal customers for requirements gathering, mock-ups, and technical advice.
Collaborating with other teams to meet industry standards.
Candidate Requirements
Experience developing UI’s with modern frameworks (AngularJS, VueJS, React).
Proficiency in AngularJS and NodeJS for frontend and backend development.
Knowledge of at least one other high-level language like C# or C++.
Good understanding of JQuery, CSS, Bootstrap.
Familiarity with MVVM architecture.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant experience.
Knowledge of modern software paradigms (microservices, testing).
Strong communication skills.
Right to work in the UK.
Preferred Skills
Experience with automated UI testing frameworks.
DevOps and CI/CD pipeline experience.
Experience with TDD, Agile processes.
Understanding cybersecurity in software development.
Ability to produce structured documentation.
Knowledge of industry-specific products and platforms.
