Egis Transport Solutions (ETS) brings together expertise for guided urban transport and heavy rail: systems, automation, rolling stock, safety, equipment, stations, MEPHFC, civil engineering, environment, etc.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and motivated Associate / Lead Electrical Engineer to join the Egis Transport Solutions MEPHFC Design Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in rail station electrical services design and coordination. As an Associate / Lead Electrical Engineer you will be a senior member of the team and will support the Associate Director, who leads the MEPHFC team. You will lead and manage other engineers and be responsible for the delivery of electrical designs, and this may involve assuming a CEM or CRE role.We are looking for someone who is dedicated, diligent, and driven, and will take this challenge head on, being an important part of a dynamic team with big ambitions.Responsibilities

Undertaking the CEM and/or CRE roleDeputise for the Associate Director where requiredDevelop design from feasibility up to As BuiltCarrying out design reviews and working to design assurance processesHelping to grow the team and developing its technical capabilityLead and manage a small team of engineersMentoring others in CRE roles, and discipline trainingNurture a get it right first time culture within the teamProduce and issue progress reportsPrepare and conduct presentations to colleagues, clients, and stakeholdersQualifications

EssentialDegree in Electrical EngineeringMember of an engineering institute and has Engineering Council Professional RegistrationExperience of undertaking the CEM/CRE/DPE roleExperience in managing works in accordance with NR-L2-RSE-02009, Engineering Management of ProjectsSufficient experience in the railway industryExperience in rail station electrical services design and coordinationComprehensive knowledge of British Standards and Regulations, and Rail Standards, such as Network Rail, HS2 and TfLAbility to deliver work to a programme and budgetExcellent leadership skills and mentoring experienceAn ability to train and upskill team membersExpert communication, organisation, and collaboration abilitiesProficient at leading meetings and presenting to clients, stakeholders, colleagues, subcontractors, suppliers etc.Experience of supporting the organisation to build and growExcellent understanding of electrical systems from a technical, design, installation, buildability, and maintenance perspectiveKnowledge of engineering software tools including Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux or ReluxKnowledge of procurement activities and lead timesBeing committed to professional development, staying updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in rail design and engineering, integrating them into project designs as appropriateYou must have the right to work in the UKDesirableKnowledge of design stages and requirements e.g. RIBA, BSRIA, GRIPExperience of working in an engineering production environmentExperience of multi-disciplinary design and coordination, and the delivery of projects to a high quality, throughout all design stagesExperience of working with 3D models in a BIM environmentExperience of producing technical notes, reports, specifications, drawings, schedules and calculationsAbility to find solutions to engineering problemsProven capability in managing design interfaces and integration processesExperience of design assurance requirements and processesGood understanding of relevant legislation such as CDM and CSMGood knowledge of NEC contracts and project communicationsUnderstanding of project scopes, requirements, works information, and excellent commercial awarenessBenefits and Additional Information
