Key Responsibilities of the Chief Finance Officer:Direct, oversee and report on the council''s budget, treasury management, cashflow, business partnering and Exchequer servicesLead a significant element of the Council''s Financial Improvement and TransformationProduce comprehensive strategy papers and monitoring reports, to support the Corporate Management Team, Cabinet and Council in making decisions and facilitate effective scrutiny by committeesCollaborate with the full range of internal stakeholders, including Members, Corporate Management Team and other senior managersDevelop and maintain strategic partnerships with external bodies and peer groupsEssential Experience required of the Chief Finance Officer:CAB Qualified with extensive (minimum Head of Service) experience in a large public sector organisationExperience managing/overseeing financial management, forecasting modelling and recovery functionsHighly numerate and able to present effectively to management teams with strong report writing ..... full job details .....
