OverviewAir Conditioning Engineer

Purpose of JobTo ensure the efficient and effective installation and or maintenance of air conditioning systems, at various customer locations.

Responsibilities and Duties

To carry out all tasks and activities to fully complete, the installation, service, maintenance and fault finding of all air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

As a fully qualified engineer the following tasks would be expected as a minimum:

Metal work and bracketry works

Containment works (Cable Tray / Supports)

Copper pipe and lagging installation including brazing

Installation and termination of communication and control cables

Installation of all condensate systems

Pressure testing, vacuuming and full commissioning of all air conditioning and refrigeration equipment

Handover and completion of required documents and test certification

Supervision when required

Service and maintenance visits

Fault finding and repair works

Receive deliveries and locate to a storage area

Liaise with other trades or members of management to complete tasks

Requirements - Abilities, Knowledge, and Skills

GCSE''s (English and Maths minimum grade C)

CandG F-Gas Category 1

Possess valid Driver''s Licence.

Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, balancing, stooping, and kneeling, squatting, crawling, reaching, crouching, push/pull objects etc.

Ability to work with manual or power tools.

Ability to work outside in difficult conditions, including adverse weather conditions.

Ability to work at heights.

Strong knowledge of the methods, practices, test instruments, tools, and materials typically applied in installing, repairing and servicing various refrigeration and air conditioning systems, and other similar equipment.

Strong ability and skill to quickly and correctly diagnose, locate, and fix defects in refrigeration and air conditioning systems/units and similar equipment.

Strong ability to understand complex written and verbal instructions, as well as simple sketches, diagrams, schematics and carry them out accurately.

Strong ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with customers, colleagues and supervisors.

To act in a supervisory role at times when required by certain projects and to be able to lead and manage a team
