Key Responsibilities Teaching and Communication Support Plan and deliver engaging Makaton-based communication sessions tailored to each child s needs. Model and embed Makaton signs and symbols into daily routines, learning activities, and therapeutic interactions. Provide guidance to staff teams and carers to ensure consistent communication strategies. Track and monitor progress, adapting approaches as needed. SEN Support Work with children with a range of needs, including autism, learning disabilities, speech and language delays, and SEMH needs. Build warm, trusting relationships with young people who may have experienced trauma or communication barriers. Support the development of social, emotional, and behavioural regulation.
