SEMH Learning Support Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and committed SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Warrington. This full-time, term-time position involves supporting students who need additional emotional and educational guidance to thrive in their learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support students with SEMH needs in both classroom and one-to-one settings
• Assist teachers in delivering tailored learning plans and strategies
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Build positive relationships and offer consistent emotional support
• Support students'' social, emotional, and behavioural development

Requirements

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs (highly desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• Must be a confident driver with access to a vehicle (essential)
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A strong commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
