As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in bringing custom-engineered automation solutions to life. From initial concept through to final delivery, you will be responsible for developing robust, compliant, and cost-effective electrical designs tailored to each client’s unique requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop detailed electrical systems for bespoke machinery and automation projects
• Produce circuit diagrams and electrical layouts using CAD software
• Ensure all designs meet relevant standards, safety requirements, and best practices
• Manage projects through the full lifecycle, from concept and design to implementation and delivery
• Interpret and qualify customer technical requirements to develop optimal solutions
• Provide technical support to customers via telephone and remote assistance
• Prepare clear and professional technical reports, documentation, and specifications
• Contribute to design for manufacture, cost efficiency, and standardisation initiatives

Experience required:

• HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
• 3–5 years’ experience in an electrical design engineering role
• Strong understanding of design for manufacture, cost control, and standardisation
• Proficiency with electrical CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical desirable)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
