Health and Safety Manager

Futures are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Manager for an award winning manufacturing business headquartered in West Yorkshire. We are looking for a Health and Safety Manager to ensure compliance and promote a positive safety culture across multiple nationwide sites. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of health, safety, and quality on live construction and installation projects across the UK.
As a key on-site representative, you’ll work closely with operational teams to monitor compliance, improve safety performance, and embed continuous improvement practices. From reviewing RAMS and delivering toolbox talks, to investigating incidents and maintaining quality standards aligned with ISO 9001, this role is hands-on, varied, and impactful. This role will require some travel to various sites across the country.

Responsibilities:
• Take ownership of on-site health and safety performance across multiple projects
• Lead thorough investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses, producing clear reports and action plans
• Support continuous improvement by identifying trends and implementing preventative measures
• Deliver engaging toolbox talks, safety briefings, and coaching to on-site teams
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure site compliance and safe working practices
• Collaborate with project teams to develop, review, and improve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
• Manage and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely resolution
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for compliance, inspections, and investigations

What We’re Looking For:
• NEBOSH-qualified (General Certificate or higher)
• Valid CSCS card
• Full UK driving licence (essential for nationwide travel)
• Strong experience in health and safety within manufacturing, construction, or industrial installation settings
• Confident working autonomously and communicating effectively with teams and clients
• A hands-on, solution-focused approach with a passion for safety and continuous improvement
• Willingness and flexibility to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays
