The cyber security compliance specialist will be responsible for strengthening the institution’s cyber security posture through governance-led initiatives. Key responsibilities include analysing security risks, developing security plans, implementing security measures, monitoring effectiveness of systems for potential security breaches and responding to any security incidents that occur. Reporting to the Head of IT Governance and Business Partnering the post holder will work closely with all operational and business change teams within the directorate and be regarded as a key subject matter expert across the institution.About The Department

Through dedicated governance and strategic risk management the directorate ensures that information assets are protected, regulatory obligations are met, and a culture of cyber awareness is embedded across the university.About You
With your experience in cyber security compliance and knowledge of cloud security principles, network security and digital forensic analysis, you will be the driving force for improving the institution’s cyber security posture through governance-led initiatives. Your ability to interpret technical data and translate it into strategic and tactical recommendations and your excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem solving skills will be key assets for this role.Further information on the criteria for the role is documented in the job description and person specification along with a list of expected duties and responsibilities.What We Offer
