Role: Management Accountant (Payroll and Finance) - 12 Month ContractWe are partnering with a well-established and growing business operating within a specialist engineering and manufacturing environment. They are seeking a Management Accountant (Payroll and Finance) to join their finance team on a 12-month contract.This is a hands-on, varied role combining full ownership of payroll with core management accounting responsibilities, supporting the Head of Finance in delivering accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and continuous process improvements.Key ResponsibilitiesManage end-to-end fortnightly payroll for c.200 employeesEnsure payroll compliance, pensions, and employee-related processesPrepare monthly management accounts with analysis and commentarySupport budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysisOversee receivables, reconciliations, and cash processesComplete VAT returns, balance sheet reconciliations, and maintain the fixed asset registerAssist with audit, systems improvements, and ad-hoc finance projectsWhat We''re Looking ForPart-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experienceBackground in both management accounts and payrollStrong Excel skills and good attention to detailComfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environmentExperience with Sage (desirable)This is a great opportunity to step into a varied role with real ownership, working closely with senior finance and contributing to improvements across the function. ..... full job details .....
