Teaching and General Office Administrator

Overview
Teaching and General Office Administrator role at Minderoo Centre for Technology and Democracy, Department of Psychology, University of Cambridge. The Department supports teaching and research in the School of Biological Sciences with about 200 staff and visitors and around 100 postgraduate students, teaching approximately 280 undergraduates. The role provides essential administrative support for undergraduate education programmes and contributes to the development of the teaching office.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain course information and databases.
Act as a key contact for students and staff.
Organise teaching-related events and meetings and support online teaching resources.
Provide administrative support to other offices within the department to facilitate efficient operations, working with HR, Finance and Grants.
Work with the Teaching Office Manager, Course Directors, and the Deputy Head of Department for Teaching; liaise with colleagues in the School of Biological Sciences and other teaching departments and central offices.
Work may involve limited evening/weekend/bank holiday work during examination periods and at busy times, with options for full-time or part-time (four days a week) or five shorter days.
QualificationsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and a good standard of written and spoken English.
Previous administrative experience and strong IT skills.
Ability to multitask, use initiative, and work both independently and as part of a team.
