Teaching Assistant - SEMH Provision (Full-Time)

Are you a resilient and proactive individual with a passion for supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a supportive and inclusive school in Stretford, seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with pupils who require additional support to manage their emotions, behaviour, and engagement with learning. The Role:

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
• Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
• Helping pupils regulate emotions and manage behaviour effectively
• Building positive relationships to support trust and engagement
• Implementing behaviour support strategies and interventions

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour
• A calm, patient, and consistent approach
• Strong behaviour management skills
• The ability to build rapport and act as a positive role model
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
