Our client is a specialist fa-ade and building envelope contractor delivering technically detailed fa-ade packages across the commercial, residential and mixed-use sectors.

Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Design Manager to oversee the design process from tender stage through to construction and handover. This role would suit someone with strong fa-ade, cladding, curtain walling or external envelope experience who can manage design teams, coordinate technical information and liaise confidently with clients, consultants and project teams.

Roles/Responsibilities

- Manage the fa-ade design process from pre-construction through to project delivery.
- Coordinate design information between clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams.
- Review drawings, specifications, technical submissions and design programmes.
- Lead design meetings and ensure technical queries are resolved efficiently.
- Oversee drawing production, design approvals and information release schedules.
- Ensure designs are compliant with project specifications, building regulations and relevant industry standards.
- Support project teams with technical advice throughout the construction phase.
- Identify design risks early and work with the wider team to provide practical solutions.
