The opportunity:

Copello are supporting a leading Defence client in their search for a Head of Sub-Systems product line.

The Head of Product Line acts as the design authority for a cross-programme family of products, with accountability for the full development lifecycle, from hardware down-selection through to delivery into service across multiple air defence programmes.

In this role, you will be responsible for shaping the strategy and roadmap for MLT products, as well as leading bids for new business. You will work closely with peer subsystem teams to define common interfaces, drive shared technology development, and oversee the selection and procurement of MLT hardware.

Leading the MLT team provides an excellent opportunity to interact with all areas of the company, to see the full product development lifecycle and to deliver real capability to the customers to protect their home nation for the future.

  • Strategic thinking
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement both internally with programme leadership and with external suppliers
  • Systems design / systems engineering experience in complex systems development
  • Knowledge of Windows-based, secure product development
  • Experience across the product development lifecycle and in-service support
  • Applied experience of work package management

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3 to 4 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
