Head of Marketing
We’re working exclusively with a fast-growing deep-tech startup building a community-driven platform at the intersection of quantum computing, developer tools, and open-source ecosystems.
Founded in 2023 and backed by a specialist quantum investor, the company has grown to 3,000 users and is scaling its Paris HQ team from 9 to 20 over the next 12–18 months. Their product sits at the platform layer of a once-in-a-generation technology shift, giving developers a unified Python-based workspace to build, share, and run quantum solutions across any hardware provider, wrapped in a community marketplace where algorithms, datasets, and tools are published, reused, and monetised.
Marketing today is a blank slate. This is the first marketing hire, responsible for building the function, the brand, and the community presence from the ground up.
You’ll be a strong match if you bring:
- 5+ years in tech, deep-tech, or developer-focused marketing.
- Experience building brand and community from near-zero in a technical domain.
- Exceptional writing across long-form (blogs, whitepapers) and short-form (social, email).
- Hands-on fluency with SEO, analytics (GA4, Mixpanel), and social media management.
- Ability to communicate quantum-adjacent concepts credibly without hype.
- Comfort operating solo initially, with a builder’s mindset.
As the successful Head of Marketing, you will be responsible for the:
- Full marketing strategy: brand positioning, content roadmap, social, SEO, and developer relations.
- Community presence: publish technically credible, hype-free content that resonates with developers and researchers.
- Dual-audience messaging:
- Community: developers, researchers, open-source contributors
- Commercial: enterprise decision-makers evaluating quantum solutions
- Conference strategy: Q2B, IEEE Quantum Week, APS March Meeting, NeurIPS, plus CEO speaking opportunities.
- Performance KPIs: user acquisition, engagement, content reach, inbound pipeline.
- Function building: operate solo for the first 6 months, then help hire the second marketing team member.
