Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor – Central London

A leading Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a major £20m hotel and commercial office refurbishment project in Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to take commercial ownership of a high-profile refurbishment scheme, working closely with an established site and commercial team throughout the project lifecycle. The programme is scheduled to run for approximately 10 months, making it an ideal opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong refurbishment and fit-out experience looking for their next contract assignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial delivery of a £20m refurbishment project.
• Procurement and management of subcontractor packages.
• Preparation and agreement of interim applications and valuations.
• Cost reporting, forecasting and budget control.
• Management of variations and change events.
• Subcontractor account management and payments.
• Preparation and agreement of final accounts.
• Supporting project delivery teams with commercial advice and risk management.
• Producing accurate monthly CVRs and commercial reports.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a Main Contractor.
• Strong background delivering refurbishment, fit-out, hotel or commercial office projects.
• Experience managing projects valued between £10m and £50m.
• Excellent understanding of JCT forms of contract.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of project finances.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Available to start within the coming weeks.
