They are seeking a Transport Planner to support the current transport operation in the management of route planning, customer service and driver management.The Candidate; Container route planning experienceExperience with Navis VBS Excellent manual transport planning skills and experienceExperienced in route planning for circa 15 x Tractor UnitsPrevious experience within a transport planning positionExperience using TOPS Transport Management SystemStrong customer service skillsAbility to work under pressure and to deadlinesCompetent decision makingGood geographical knowledge of the North West and UK Duties and Responsibilities; Route planning for container loads for UK wide distributionMonitoring driver performanceReview driver routes and plan to maximise efficiencyKeep all customers informed of all failed services or significant delaysProvide the communication link between customers and driversSupervising and managing driver workloadsEnsuring your routes are numbered correctly and all jobs are sequencedManaging your driver s daily activities in line with the Working Time Directive and Driving hours.Ensuring every customer receives excellent customer service.Investigating failed services and looking into ways to ..... full job details .....
