Head of Sales

Overview
Our client is looking for a Head of Sales to work at a location in Portsmouth. The role involves leading sales efforts in the construction industry, with a focus on IT systems and payroll solutions. This is a full-time, entrepreneurial position centered on building relationships, growing the client base, and scaling a high-performance team.Role description: You will start by leveraging existing senior relationships in the construction sector to introduce our services and generate profit quickly. Profit will fund hiring your first team member to create an A-player squad, with plans to scale and replicate. You will engage in a full range of activities including outbound calls, site networking, presenting to senior board-level directors, attending networking events, and occasionally staying late. Confidence, a proven sales track record in construction, and strong industry connections are essential.Responsibilities
Leverage existing senior relationships in the construction sector to introduce services and generate profit.Build and scale a high-performing sales team, starting with hiring the first team member and replicating the model later.Engage in outbound sales activities (phone outreach, site networking) and present to senior board-level directors.Attend networking events and, occasionally, stay late to close opportunities.Drive growth across the UK and establish the company as a recognized provider in the construction industry.Personal Characteristics and Style
