Senior Quantity Surveyor

Umbrella/PAYE Only 

The Senior QS role is to be part of the Facilities Management team and will cover Hinkley, Berkeley and Oldbury.  Site attendance is assumed as 2 days a week minimum.  

• BPSS security requirement
• Cannot have worked outside the UK in the last three years
• Must have a full driving license and car
• Must have NEC 3 experience ideally NEC 4 as well.
• Working hours are compressed; 37.5 hours a week over Monday to Thursday.  Start time 07.25 (at your desk) - 17.00 with a 20 min lunch break, basically 9.375 hours a day

Quantity Surveyor - A relevant professional qualification (e.g. RICS, CIOB) or equivalent significant, demonstrable quantity surveying experience (E)
- Membership of a relevant professional body (E) - Significant experience within a relevant project environment, including industry knowledge and understanding (E)
- Significant experience of NEC3 and/or cost management across a broad range of complex projects (E)
- Significant NEC experience working as a practitioner across a range of NEC contracts varying in size and complexity (E)
- Broad range of contract experience (including domestic subcontract experience) (E)
- Experience and knowledge of standard method of measurement (SMM7, CESMM3, NRM2, etc.) (E)
- Experience and understanding of CDM regulations (E)
- Demonstrable knowledge of Earned Value Management, reporting, and cost management techniques (E)
- Experience of identifying, analysing, and solving problems, including independent project reviews and providing independent advice and guidance (E)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and commercial skills (E)
- Demonstrable knowledge of risk management and risk analysis, including contract risks and contingency management (E)
- Knowledge of relevant company policies and procedures (D)
