A leading main contractor that operates across Ireland, the UK and Mainland Europe, and specialises in the delivery of complex pharmaceutical, data centre, commercial and petrochemical infrastructure, is actively recruiting a Mechanical Engineer in Slough, London. As a Mechanical Engineer, you ll play a key role in the design, coordination, and delivery of large-scale mechanical systems on fast-paced data centre projects. You ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Lead mechanical engineering packages from concept through to commissioning Oversee design coordination between consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams Ensure compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and specifications Manage procurement of mechanical equipment and liaise with suppliers Support site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning Monitor progress, cost, and quality, reporting to project management Provide mentoring and technical leadership to junior engineers Key requirements: Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline Experience in mechanical engineering, ideally with exposure to data centre or mission-critical projects Proven track record working for main contractors or large MEP firms Deep understanding of mechanical systems including HVAC etc Strong coordination and stakeholder management ..... full job details .....
