Role : Transport Supervisor

Location: Doncaster

Hours: Tue-Sat, shifts 6am-4pm and 9am-7pm

Pay: -33,000

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Transport Supervisor to join our client''s team in Doncaster. In this role, you will be working within an Operations environment covering Transport and warehouse.

Duties Will Include:

1. Operational & Compliance Management - Oversee all aspects of safety, service, cost, and people management, ensuring KPIs are met while maintaining compliance with legal requirements (Operator''s Licence, Road Traffic Act, Health & Safety legislation).

2. Team Leadership & Development - Motivate, guide, and support the operations team to achieve targets; recruit, train, and manage performance while fostering a positive site culture.

3. Process Improvement & Coordination - Drive continual improvement of operational processes, liaise with other departments and third parties, and ensure transparent communication through CRM and reporting systems.

4. Resource & Asset Management - Plan and organise driver/vehicle schedules, monitor vehicle condition and hygiene, manage daily/weekly checks, and maintain high standards through systems such as Microlise.

Job Requirements:

1. Operational & Technical Expertise - Experience in transport and warehouse operations, with knowledge of driver management, computerised scheduling (FTA), and systems such as Microlise.

2. Leadership & People Management - Proven ability to supervise/manage teams, ideally in a unionised environment, with strong leadership and staff development skills.

3. Flexibility & Commitment - Willingness to work shifts, including weekends, with a proactive and adaptable approach in a Tuesday-Saturday operational setting.

4. Communication & Problem-Solving Skills - Strong interpersonal skills, logical thinking, and proficiency in MS Word and Excel to support effective decision-making and operational performance.
