Join a Growing Specialist Contractor Delivering High-End Fit-Outs
We are working with a rapidly expanding CAT A & B contractor renowned for delivering technically demanding commercial fit-out projects nationwide. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong M&E background to join their team.
This is not a standard fit-out role. With complex Mechanical & Electrical packages forming the backbone of many of their projects, we are looking for someone who can confidently read and interpret M&E drawings, liaise with subcontractors on technical detail, and critically assess on-site installation quality.
The Role:
As Site Manager, you will take full ownership of day-to-day site operations on high-spec commercial fit-outs. Your technical expertise in M&E will be crucial to ensuring that complex installations are executed correctly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily site operations with a specific focus on high-value and technically detailed M&E installations.
Coordinate with M&E subcontractors to ensure work aligns with design specs and is installed to the highest standard.
Act as the technical authority on site regarding M&E queries - identifying and resolving issues early.
Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and stakeholders on progress, particularly in relation to M&E milestones.
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
Monitor programme timelines and budgets, with a proactive approach to identifying delays or cost implications - especially within the M&E scope.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Site Manager in CAT A and CAT B fit-outs, with significant exposure to complex M&E packages.
Ability to read, interpret, and act on M&E technical drawings and specifications.
Strong understanding of M&E sequencing and coordination.
Skilled in managing subcontractors and enforcing high standards of workmanship.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Highly organised with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
Benefits:
Competitive salary of -45,000 - -55,000 per annum
Company vehicle
Annual tax-free bonus through their Employee Ownership Trust (EOT)
Income protection & health cash plan
Life assurance cover
Genuine career progression opportunities in a business with a robust pipeline of technically challenging projects
