Our client is a leader in the premium stone and design industry. Their core business is rooted in the high-end residential market, built on trusted relationships with interior and exterior design professionals, contractors and homeowners, often all parties within a single project. They also operate a robust buy-and-sell-from-stock model, which opens the door to larger developers as well as opportunities in the commercial and hospitality markets. They are now seeking a
Head of Sales
to join their team. This role will be central to building a "channel within the channel", preserving a bespoke, service-led ethos while unlocking stock-driven, large-scale project work. The business today is largely Southern-centric. The Head of Sales will be responsible for preparing and, when the time is right, spearheading expansion into the Midlands, North, Scotland and Ireland, building the presence and partnerships that will balance their geographic footprint and open new channels of growth. As
Head of Sales , you will set the commercial direction, lead a specialist sales team, and act as a senior brand figurehead across both established residential base and developing commercial and regional landscapes.
Sales Strategy and Channel Growth
Define and execute a high-performance sales strategy for the desired channel
Set and deliver revenue targets, pipeline forecasting and commercial KPIs
Partner with the Head of Sales (Wholesale and Big Box) to align on approach, share key accounts and maximise opportunities
Collaborate with the Showrooms and Retail Lead to strengthen client experience and project support in our physical spaces
Develop a stock-driven sales strategy to expand into larger developers, commercial and hospitality sectors
Lay the groundwork for regional growth beyond the South, with a view to expanding into the Midlands, North, Scotland and Ireland at the appropriate time
Team Leadership and Culture
Lead, inspire and develop a team of project consultants and sales staff
Establish clear performance targets, coaching frameworks and training plans
Foster a culture rooted in service, detail, creativity and commercial excellence
Project and Contract Sales
Drive the growth of high-value project and contract accounts across residential, commercial and hospitality sectors
Build and maintain long-term relationships with developers, contractors, specifiers, architects and design practices
Partner with fabrication and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery
Maintain full visibility across the sales funnel, from first brief through to install
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Marketing to position the projects offer and amplify our story through case studies and campaigns
Feed into product development based on project insights, technical requirements and material feedback
Ensure operations, production capacity and service levels are aligned with project demand
Collaborate on showroom strategy and specification services with the Showrooms and Retail Lead
RequirementsExperience and Attributes
5+ years in senior sales or business development roles within a design-led, architectural, or surface materials context
Extensive experience in the contract sector, including specification support and large-scale/multi-phase project management
Proven track record of sales leadership and consistently meeting/exceeding commercial targets
Exceptional communication skills, able to build trust across both creative and commercial stakeholders
Strong strategic thinker with excellent budget management and commercial planning skills
Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with sales, operations, marketing and design
Detail-driven, with a passion for service, quality and craftsmanship
Benefits
Salary- £70,000- £110,000 depending on experience
