SEND Teaching Assistant - Alternative Provision (Secondary) Location: Oldham, Greater Manchester Salary: Dependent on experience Contract: Full-Time Long-Term Start Date: Immediate Are you a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant looking to support young people who need a more personalised approach to learning? If so, start immediately at this well-established Alternative Provision in Oldham that supports students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The school caters for pupils who have struggled in mainstream education and require additional support to re-engage with learning. Many students have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) including ASC and SEMH, alongside behavioural challenges. The Role As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and support staff to help students access their lessons and remain engaged throughout the school day. You will provide both in-class support and targeted 1:1 or small group assistance, helping to adapt learning activities and provide encouragement to pupils who require additional guidance. Your role will involve supporting students academically, socially and emotionally, helping them to develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in school.
