This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, award-winning London-based Material Science company. They are leaders within their field and are entering an exciting phase of scale-up and commercialisation. Due to the natural growth of the business, they are looking for a Bioprocess Engineer to join the team.What you’ll be doing?

Design, run, and optimise upstream (fermentation) and downstream bioprocesses at lab and kilo scale.Culture and characterise microorganisms (bacteria, yeasts, fungi) and prepare samples for analysis.Optimise growth media and process conditions for maximum efficiency.Model bioprocess performance and predict outcomes using computational and statistical methods.Document experiments in Electronic Laboratory Notebooks (ELNs) and apply DOE and high-throughput approaches.Collaborate across engineering, chemistry, and material science teams to scale research into industrial solutions.What they are looking for?

MSc in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering or related field (3+ years industry experience), or PhD.Proven expertise in microbial culturing, fermentation, and bioprocessing.Experience with scale-up and downstream processing.Proficient in ELNs, DOE, and data analysis.Strong problem-solving and quantitative skills.Collaborative, systems-thinking mindset with excellent communication.Passion for sustainable and innovative bioprocess development.What you’ll get in return?
