MMP Consultancy is seeking a Compliance Manager on behalf of a local authority based in south Hampshire. This is an interim contract paying 450pd inside of IR35 on a 6-month contract subject to extension. This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.The successful candidate will lead compliance activities within the local authority''s Property Services team. This vital role ensures that their statutory compliance responsibilities are met across nearly 3,000 Housing Revenue Account (HRA) residential properties and approximately 500 corporate assets.They will play a key part in keeping the residents, staff, and buildings safe, ensuring full compliance across a range of service areas including:Gas servicing and repairsFire safety and risk assessmentsAsbestos managementWater safetyGeneral building health and safetyLift servicing and repairsMechanical and electrical (MandE) servicing and repairsKey ResponsibilitiesEnsure statutory compliance across all housing and corporate assetsLead, develop, and manage compliance teamsOversee procurement and management of all MandE service contractsMaintain accurate and accessible compliance documentationDevelop, review, and implement policies and procedures in line with current legislationSupport budget management and cost-effective service deliveryEnsure staff across Property Services understand their compliance responsibilitiesAct as the Council''s Responsible or Deputy Responsible Person for Water SafetyProvide ..... full job details .....
