Job Opportunity: Mechanical Engineer (Full-Time)
Location: Greater Glasgow Area

Are you a Mechanical Engineer looking to make a real impact in an environment where innovation meets critical application?

Join a forward thinking team that develops cutting edge technology for operations, supporting both commercial and defence sectors with world leading equipment and solutions.

This is your chance to be part of a team that designs, builds, and supports some of the most technically advanced systems in the world.

Your Role:

You'll be responsible for taking engineering concepts from initial design through to real world application. From creating innovative new solutions to upgrading and improving legacy systems already in the field, your contributions will play a vital role in ensuring product success.

You’ll work across the full lifecycle of projects, collaborating closely with colleagues in manufacturing, procurement, and project management. Whether it’s drafting technical specifications, performing structural analysis, selecting components, or validating performance through testing, you’ll be involved at every stage.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Deliver robust, cost effective design solutions tailored to both customer and operational needs.

  • Take ownership of engineering queries and develop effective responses within project timelines.

  • Liaise cross functionally to ensure technical accuracy and seamless integration across teams.

  • Produce and review technical documentation, from CAD drawings and test procedures to certification reports and bill of materials.

  • Ensure full compliance with internal standards and external regulations.

  • Contribute as a technical checker for engineering documentation and product drawings.

  • Occasionally visit project sites or customer assets for hands-on insight and support.

What You Bring:

  • A solid background in mechanical design, ideally in high integrity environments such as marine, defence, or subsea systems.

  • Strong understanding of structural analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS) and the ability to apply FEA effectively.

  • Confidence working with DFA/DFM principles and manufacturing processes.

  • Experience with gas/fluid systems, pressure vessels, or similar systems is a plus.

  • Knowledge of industry standards like IMCA, Lloyd’s Register (LR), or DNV.

  • A methodical approach to documentation, checking, and validation.

  • Proficiency in PLM systems for managing engineering packages.

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.

  • Existing British Citizen due to security clearance requirements

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a global leader

  • Work on technically fascinating, high-impact projects.

  • Hybrid working and flexible arrangements.

  • Supportive and highly skilled team environment.

  • Opportunities for professional growth and development.

If you're driven by precision, thrive in technically complex projects, and want to work in an industry that saves lives and pushes the boundaries of engineering, this could be your next career move.

PLEASE NOTE - YOU MUST BE A BRITISH CITIZEN TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS POSITION DUE TO REQUIRING SECURITY CLEARANCE
