The Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington is seeking a detail-oriented Finance Assistant to support our Finance Administrator in ensuring the hotels daily cash banking is processed, reconciled, and compliant with our cash handling procedures. This role involves investigating discrepancies, maintaining accurate records, and supporting various finance-related tasks to keep our operations running smoothly.What youll do (not limited to):To assist with any change and float requirements for the hotel outlets including month end counts and spot checks.To issue, control and reconcile all Petty Cash payments.Ensure Cash office safe is secure and clean before the end of each day.To ensure all foreign currency exchange has relevant backup, according to Money Laundering requirements.All Banking journals, etc. should be prepared and posted daily.To check Sales Ledger invoices for accuracy, and ensure that all relevant information and backup is attached.All Invoices need to be in the post/emailed within 24 hours of being City Ledgered.All Sales Ledger queries received via Head Office to be dealt with on the day received.Create and process concessionaire invoices as well as credit notes as and when required.To provide assistance if required to the Meetings and Events department with invoicing, deposits and commissions.To administer and communicate the process and requests of "new" client set ups on Opera and to liaise with the ASC Credit Manager for credit facilities.To check, balance and compile a consolidation report for Credit Cards. Investigate and correct any errors and send off to Head Office as required.To prepare and issue the Daily Management Report to all HODS.To prepare and issue daily by 12:00 noon the Revenue Consolidated Report to Head Office.To check and prepare summary sheet for the Daily Revenue Adjustments, Voids, No Sales, Complimentary Rooms, Staff Rates etc for authorization from relevant Exec Managers.To check if all Revenues have been posted in the correct Revenue Streams.Daily checks to be done on Cash Refunds; daily check and log all Credit Card Refunds.Monitor and control car parking revenue, ensuring correct invoicing and posting.Check and process commission claims for both rooms and FandB departments.Monitor the high/low rate report on a bi-weekly basisTo support and assist with purchase ledger as required.To liaise with and answer queries from customers, suppliers, Hotel colleagues, the ASC and Corporate Office personnel in a prompt, friendly and efficient manner.To perform any other Company related duty that is reasonably requested by the Hotel Assistant Financial Controller.To ensure all archiving is done in a systematic manner.
