The RoleOur client is one of the world''s foremost refrigeration solutions providers.As an industrial refrigeration engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, service, repair, and technical troubleshooting involving the diagnosis of electrical and mechanical system problems on large commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.Main ResponsibilitiesService, maintain, repair, and commission refrigerating, air conditioning, and process plant.Liaise with customers to ensure work is being carried out to their satisfaction and identify potential future business opportunities.Conduct on-site electrical and mechanical diagnostic checks.Supervise service engineers and apprentices on-site as necessary.Train apprentices on-site.Ensure that the company''s technical and safety standards are maintained in accordance with health and safety practices, and recommend improvements as necessary.Skills and ExperienceMinimum 2 years of experience as a Service Engineer, including installation and mechanical/electrical installation of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems.Knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations, and relevant EC directives (pressure equipment directive, machinery safety directive, ATEX directive, low voltage directive, and EMC directive).Experience servicing piston, screw, and centrifugal compressors.Experience with HCFC, HFC, and NH3 refrigerants (HC refrigerants and CO2 are advantageous).Ability to diagnose faults, including system design issues.Working knowledge of PC and PLC-based controls and instrumentation.CandG F-Gas 2079 and Safe Handling of Ammonia certification.The Benefits25 days of annual leave.Life assurance.Defined pension contribution plan.Company car or van.Private medical scheme and eye care vouchers.Company sick pay scheme.Long service awards.Salary extras, including shopping, hotel, and travel discounts.
