About the Role A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Southwark is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Nurse to join their Early Years team. This role involves working within the Nursery/Reception setting, supporting young children at a crucial stage of their development.The successful candidate will support children''s learning, development, and wellbeing, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will play an important role in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing early years environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport children''s learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) frameworkProvide 1:1 and small group support, including for children with additional needsAssist with phonics, early literacy, numeracy, and play-based learning activitiesPromote positive behaviour and emotional developmentSupport children''s social and communication skillsWork closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider Early Years teamEnsure safeguarding, health, and safety procedures are followed at all timesThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:A relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years (or equivalent)Experience working within a Nursery or Early Years settingA strong understanding of the EYFS frameworkExperience supporting children with SEN (desirable)A nurturing, patient, and proactive approachExcellent communication and teamwork skillsA commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenThe School ..... full job details .....
