This role offers a competitive hourly rate, up to 28 days of annual leave (including bank holidays), and access to internal permanent vacancies within the council.Key Responsibilities:As a Kitchen Assistant, you will:Work collaboratively within a team to deliver a responsive and efficient catering service.Assist in preparing, cooking, and serving meals in line with set menus.Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.Support stock control processes, including ordering and checking deliveries.Carry out routine legislative and health and safety checks.Uphold food safety and hygiene standards.Operate tills and manage cash/card transactions.Use kitchen equipment safely and appropriately.Report any issues to the Chef Manager or Senior Catering Assistant.Be available to work evenings and weekends when required.Perform other duties as appropriate to the role.About You:To be successful in this role, you should have:A basic understanding of food ..... full job details .....
