Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and efficient General Assistant to join our team in Brentwood, United Kingdom. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our organisation’s daily operations from Monday to Friday, supporting various aspects of our service delivery.Assist in the preparation and serving of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, following established menus and recipesMaintain cleanliness and organisation of front-of-house areas, including proper arrangement of dishes and utensilsAdhere to food safety protocols, ensuring proper food handling and storage proceduresMonitor inventory levels of food and supplies, reporting any shortages or discrepancies to managementProvide excellent customer service to students and staff during mealtimes, addressing concerns and special dietary requirementsParticipate in training sessions and meetings related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standardsSupport the team in creating a welcoming and efficient dining environmentAssist with additional tasks as required to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
Food Hygiene Level 2 certification or willingness to obtainPrevious experience in education catering is desirableGood understanding of health and safety practices in a food service environmentExcellent organisational skills with great attention to detailStrong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced settingOutstanding customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanourFlexible approach to work and ability to adapt to changing prioritiesPhysical stamina to stand and move for extended periodsBasic numeracy and literacy skillsEnthusiasm for creating a positive dining experience for students and staff
