Overview
Warehouse Manager – Lead with Impact in Food Manufacturing. We’re looking for a Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of the end-to-end warehouse operation. You’ll be responsible for leading a team of five, ensuring that all inbound and outbound activity is carried out accurately, safely and in line with food quality standards.From goods receipt and labelling to stock rotation, expiry date checks and outbound loading with the correct paperwork, you’ll make sure every movement is controlled and recorded correctly. The role goes beyond day-to-day management. You’ll actively support the Production Shift Managers in delivering output and step in to cover them when needed and coordinate with external hauliers and monitor stock levels. Maintaining raw material availability to match the production plan will be a key focus, as will investigating variances in stock checks, managing waste, reporting and following up on building or equipment issues and upholding site-wide housekeeping and food hygiene standards.This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll coach, train and performance-manage your team whilst creating a culture of safety, accountability and continuous improvement.You’ll need to be based in East London or commutable from East, North and South London, Essex, Kent and Hertfordshire.Responsibilities
Lead a team of five in end-to-end warehouse operations in a food manufacturing environment.Ensure inbound and outbound activity is accurate, safe and compliant with food quality standards.Coordinate with Production Shift Managers, external hauliers and maintain stock levels to meet the production plan.Manage goods receipt, labelling, stock rotation, expiry checks and outbound paperwork.Investigate stock variances, manage waste, and uphold site housekeeping and food hygiene standards.Coach, train and performance-manage the team; foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Qualifications
Proven experience in warehouse management within a food production/food manufacturing environment.Excellent organisational and communication skills; able to balance operational priorities with compliance demands.A Counterbalance Forklift Licence is essential; a Bendi licence would be advantageous.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and Teams).Additional Details
