Arnold Ash Group are partnered with the CEO of a well-established and ambitious UK online sports betting and casino operator entering an exciting new chapter of growth and innovation to identify and attract a commercially astute and forward-thinking Finance Director to lead their finance function and play a central role in shaping the future of the business.

Working directly with the CEO and senior leadership team, this is a high-impact role with full ownership of the finance department and strategic input across the wider business.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis

Work closely with the CEO on strategic planning, commercial decisions, and overall business direction

Drive modernisation of finance systems, tools, and processes, building a future-fit finance function

Oversee budgeting, financial modelling, performance metrics, and regulatory compliance

Provide clear insights and recommendations to support growth, investment, and operational efficiency

Manage relationships with auditors, banks, regulators, and key external stakeholders

Lead on cost control, profitability analysis, and business case development for new initiatives

Build and mentor a high-performing finance team aligned with the company’s culture and goals

Qualifications

A qualified finance professional (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in a senior finance leadership role

Experience in online gambling, gaming, or digital consumer sectors is essential

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link finance to strategic outcomes

Demonstrated ability to modernise finance processes, including systems migration or automation projects

Confident communicator who can work closely with executive teams and influence at board level

Hands-on and pragmatic – willing to dive into detail when needed, while keeping a strategic mindset
