Anderselite are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our national civil engineering client, the company operates across a wide range of projects such as: highways, rail, water and energy. They\''re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead the commercial team, overseeing cost planning, estimating, budgeting, and financial reporting from project conception to completion.Responsibilities

Cost Estimation: Produce accurate estimates and tender prices from first principles.Tendering: Prepare comprehensive tender submissions aligned with client requirements.BOQ Preparation: Compile detailed bills of quantities for construction projects.Risk Management: Identify and manage cost-related risks and variations throughout the project.Contract Administration: Support contract negotiations, amendments, and risk identification.Project Cost Control:

Monitor budgets and ensure financial targets are metPrepare applications for paymentIssue notices for early warnings, variations, and compensation eventsDraft contractual correspondence and assess entitlement to extensions of timeProduce performance reports, forecasts, and valuations from drawings/surveys

Subcontractor Management: Procure subcontractors and agree terms.Advisory Role: Advise the operations team on contractual and commercial matters.Team Oversight: Mentor Assistant and Trainee Quantity Surveyors.Requirements

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or similarProven experience in civil engineering projectsStrong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost managementExcellent numerical, analytical, and communication skillsExperience with NEC contractsExperience with projects valued £5-£20 million (preferred)Full UK driving licence requiredIf the above job role is of interest please apply directly today!
