Senior Litigation Associate (12 Month FTC)

Overview
Senior Litigation Associate to join the Litigation and Investigations team on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract to cover parental leave. The London team focuses on commercial and finance litigation and investigations, including regulatory and criminal matters, and operates at the pinnacle of the market.Our litigation practice handles the full range of commercial and financial disputes, including MandA, shareholder and joint venture disputes, contractual claims, civil fraud, competition litigation, derivatives and structured finance disputes, insolvency and restructuring litigation, class actions, insurance litigation, securities litigation and judicial reviews. We are at the vanguard of disputes driven by sustainability/ESG, data, cyber-security, fintech and digitalisation. Our litigators work in integrated teams with transactional and advisory colleagues to provide market expertise and robust case management.Role purpose
To support growth, we are hiring a senior associate (6+ PQE) who specialises in commercial disputes on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover parental leave. The role involves acting for and advising corporates (public and private companies), financial institutions and individuals who are subject to the types of litigation we handle.Role and responsibilities
Advising clients on a range of commercial disputes in meetings, on the phone and in writingManaging disputes on a day-to-day basis, contributing to and implementing litigation strategy, supervising junior lawyers and other team members, liaising with counsel, experts and other stakeholders as necessaryPreparing clients for court proceedings and trialsSupporting transactional teams with deal-critical litigation inputParticipating in business development initiatives and contributing to the growth of the practiceUndertaking legal research and participating in team knowledge sharingKey requirements
