Project Engineer - Fire Protection Systems - London to include Central/South East
Salary : £40,000 to £42,000
Hours/Shift: Mon-Fri : 8:30am - 5pm 40 hours per week
We''re seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join a trusted and established fire protection company, where your technical skills and customer focus will make a real impact. You will be responsible for carrying out installations and commissioning of fire detection and alarm systems within your regional area, supporting the delivery of contracted projects to the highest standards.
Working closely with the Projects Manager, you''ll ensure that all work is completed efficiently, safely and in full compliance with industry regulations-while delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out installations and commissioning works in line with BS5839 and industry best practices
- Deliver work efficiently, cost-effectively and to schedule within allocated regional area
- Complete work orders to a high standard and within agreed timescales
- Collaborate closely with the Projects Manager and internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery
- Maintain and promote high standards of health & safety
- Represent the company with professionalism and provide excellent customer service at all times
- Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Support compliance and quality control through coordination with QHSE Manager and audit processes
- Actively contribute to a positive team culture and uphold the company values of Respect, Professionalism, Customer Focus, Innovation and Simplicity
What We''re Looking For:
- Strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems and commissioning practices
- FIA Foundation qualified, with solid understanding of BS5839
- Proven installation and commissioning experience within the fire protection industry
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Highly organised with good time management and prioritisation
- Customer-focused mindset with a proactive, positive attitude
- Comfortable using IT systems and documentation tools
- Commitment to working safely, professionally and collaboratively
Benefits
- Travel time paid after first 30 minutes
- Standby rates - £150 per week
- Overtime - T1.5 after contracted 40 hours per week
- 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 22 days at 3 year''s service and to 25 at 5 year''s service
- Sick pay 3 days full pay increasing to 3 weeks full pay after 2 years service.
