Our client is a reputable, family-owned business serving the engineering industry UK wide. They are now looking for a Warehouse Operative to join their small, friendly team based in Bedford. This is a sole-charge warehouse position. Generally, you will be the only person working in the warehouse on a daily basis, so confidence, self-motivation and the ability to work independently are essential. While you''ll be fully supported by management, you must be comfortable managing the warehouse operation on your own.The RoleYou will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse, taking ownership of goods in, goods out, and maintaining high standards of organisation and efficiency.You will on occasion liaise directly with customers Key ResponsibilitiesGoods OutPick, pack and prepare customer ordersCreate courier labels and despatch ordersLoad goods onto courier delivery vehiclesDeal with customers directly who chose to collect their parcelsGoods InReceive, unload, unpack and check supplier deliveriesAccurate labeling of goods received.Put stock away accurately in designated locationsGeneral DutiesMaintain accurate and tidy stock locationsKeep the warehouse clean, safe and organised at all timesAssist with stock checks and KPI targets set by managementTake full responsibility for the daily running of the warehouseAssist with the paperwork and some warehouse admin tasksThis role would suit someone who thrives working independently and takes pride in ..... full job details .....
