A well-established and fast-growing retail organisation with a pan-European footprint is seeking a TEMP Senior Management Accountant to provide high-level financial support during a critical period. This is a strategic interim role suited to someone with strong commercial acumen and the ability to lead and influence across finance and operational teams.

Role Summary

You''ll play a key role in driving financial performance, supporting decision-making, and ensuring robust financial control. The position requires a confident, proactive individual who can operate independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver insights that shape business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
• Own the forecasting and budgeting process across multiple cost centres
• Provide strategic financial support to senior stakeholders and operational leads
• Oversee month-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
• Drive improvements in financial reporting, controls, and systems
• Contribute to cross-functional projects and transformation initiatives

Candidate Profile

• Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or QBE with senior-level experience
• Strong technical accounting skills and commercial awareness
• Advanced Excel and experience with ERP/general ledger systems
• Proven ability to communicate financial insights to senior non-finance stakeholders
• Experience in retail, FMCG, or multi-site environments is highly desirable
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving business setting
