We are proud of the work we do helping injured people, and this is the core of our business.The Role:We are looking for a solicitor at NQ - 5 years PQE level to join our expanding Group Litigation Team.The role will involve running your own mixed caseload of Group Litigation matters predominantly issued in the Media and Communications List of the High Court, from inception to conclusion and assisting a Partner on other ongoing group litigation cases. There will also be a requirement to manage a small number of fast-track data breach files as part of an ongoing work stream.The role will require a strong litigation background, as files will be heavily weighted towards litigation.Responsibilities:Managing a mixed caseload of Group Actions and Data breach files from cradle to graveConducting thorough legal research and providing sound legal advice to clientsPreparing and drafting legal documents, including pleadings and witness statementsInstructing and working with King''s Counsel on High Court mattersNegotiating settlements and representing clients in court when necessaryWorking in a target driven, fast paced environmentCollaborating with colleagues to ensure the successful outcome of cases.Keeping up to date with changes in relevant laws and regulationsPerson Specification:Demonstrable expertise in group litigationQualified Lawyer with a focus on group litigationProven track record of successful group litigation casesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsSolid understanding of legal procedures and regulationsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environmentRelevant post-qualification experience in a reputable legal firmExcellent communication and negotiation abilitiesSalary and Hours:A basic salary of up to GBP45,000 with attractive monthly billing-based bonusOur standard working hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Thursday and 8:30am to 5pm Friday.Benefits:Hybrid Working - 3/2 hybrid working pattern after probation.23 Days Holiday - Rising to 26 days, plus bank/public holidays.Extra Holidays - 3 holiday buy backs and an extra day for your birthday after service length requirement.Looking After Your Health - Private medical insurance available after 2 years'' service, annual flu jab and Employee Assistance Programme.Looking After Your Well-being - 24/7 onsite Gym, Netball/Football team, 10km Manchester team and more.Work Life / Balance - Active social committee with generous departmental and firm-wide social budget.Recruitment Process:Interviews will be conducted by MS Teams and will include scenario-based questioning.Our employees are our most important asset, we rate skill and ability above all else and our recruitment policy encourages applications from all.Please click
