OverviewThe Gallagher Lenders Insurance Advisory team work closely with a wide variety of banks and financial institutions, offering insurance consultancy services to ensure that clients’ needs are met, when financing large scale acquisitions and projects.

This opportunity is to act as a Senior Associate in the best interests of the company, within a rapidly growing team in a burgeoning sector. This role will be responsible for servicing clients in an efficient manner, throughout the client’s financing process, and assisting with new business production activity. You will support the client Directors and wider MALT team, meeting client demands and needs in order to achieve optimum profitable client retention rate and growth.

This role would be ideal for someone who has due diligence experience or someone who has construction or property insurance experience looking to go into a more consultative position.

How you\''ll make an impact

Assist in the gathering of information to prepare insurance due diligence reports, and under supervision, prepare initial draft DD reports to be issued to the lenders

Participate in regular calls to explain the insurance position to clients in a clear and concise manner, offer advice, and work with the team to propose solutions to rectify any issues that arise

Negotiate favourable insurance terms with relevant insurance brokers, who are responsible for managing the policies relevant to our clients

Liaise with client legal teams as necessary, to clarify insurance queries relevant to the financings

Ensure all customer details are recorded accurately and entered onto system in a timely fashion

Secure delivery of finalised policy documentation from brokers, and check that these align with the lenders insurance requirements

Assist in the RFP process as directed by senior team members

Support the team around new business initiatives, including marketing activity

Work with wider Gallagher teams, in order to support clients through finding innovative insurance solutions

Maintain regular contact with internal teams on the broking side, to keep appraised of insurance market developments relevant to our clients

Deal with client queries in relation to insurance matters

Prepare invoices and deal with invoicing enquiries

Manage accounts and process payments by deliverable dates

Deal with account queries and credit control matters, ensuring they are resolved efficiently and any concerns are raised

Deal with general account queries, and ensure that they are resolved efficiently

Perform miscellaneous office duties in support of account servicing

Manage own workload in order to effectively service the client relationship and ensure DD reports are completed within client deadlines

Comply with AJG Professional Standards Manual in accordance with statutory requirements for the role with specific attention, but not limited to Managing Client information, Whistle Blowing, Treating Customers Fairly

About You

Some experience in insurance broking or underwriting, preferably in the property or construction sector

Educated to degree standard

Able to quickly grasp and interpret salient information

High attention to detail and process driven

Worked to deadlines and able to anticipate change

Good client service focus

Able to identify potential risks/issues and seek advice/consultation when required

Risk aware in customer handling

Proactive in customer-care

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Excellent planning and analytical skills

Deals with ambiguity

Accuracy and attention to detail

Takes initiative when assisting team members

Continually builds industry knowledge

MS Office proficiency
