The national debt advisory practice has more than tripled in size since 2022, with significant growth plans for the coming years.As a Debt Advisory Director (North), you will be responsible for supporting the development of the debt advisory practice through the delivery of high-quality service across a range of clients, including advising on refinancings, acquisition finance, leveraged buyouts, debt restructuring, and growth capital. Please tell us about your circumstances so we can discuss how to best support your needs and develop a successful partnership.Role and ResponsibilitiesBuild strong relationships with potential clients and counterparties across Private Debt funds, Banks, privately owned businesses, private equity, and large corporates in the north of England.Originate and lead debt advisory transactions, playing a key role in executing transactions.Lead in preparing and delivering pitches and proposals.Lead business development activities, including networking, building relationships, and identifying potential mandates.Manage risk on projects, ensuring compliance and regulatory procedures are followed.Prepare and review transaction documentation and financial models, including business plans, information memoranda, and financial forecasts.Project manage transactions, acting as the primary client contact and providing support and advice.Support wider marketing activities and build your market profile.Manage team members to ensure high-quality output and adherence to risk management procedures.Show vision and strategic perspective, focusing on building the Debt Advisory business and Forvis Mazars overall.Produce high-quality work in line with firm policies and regulatory requirements.Skills, Knowledge, and ExperienceA strong team player who values a positive team spirit and enjoys collaborating in an entrepreneurial environment.Self-motivated, hardworking, and driven.Qualified to ACA (or equivalent).Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.Experience in running Debt Advisory assignments.Experience working within credit institutions and professional services.High commitment and experience in business development.Existing network among intermediaries and potential clients.Active desire to grow and develop the Debt Advisory business.Ability to analyze issues and apply commercial acumen.Focus on quality and risk management.Ability to communicate ideas with authority and conviction.Ambitious and eager to make a difference.Ability to develop oneself and others.We are a diverse, multicultural, multi-generational team that values connection and belonging.
