Field Service Engineer - Compactors & Balers
Location: Covering the South East of England
Salary: -35,000 - -38,000 + Door-to-Door Pay + Vehicle + Benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday - No Call-Out, No Weekend Work
We''re looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to install, repair, modify, and service compactors, balers, and associated machinery at customer sites. This is a front-line, customer-facing role where you''ll be the professional face of the business while ensuring equipment is operating at its best.
The Role:
Install, service, and repair compactors, balers, and associated hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
Carry out preventative maintenance, site surveys, and operator training
Diagnose faults and provide detailed estimates for repairs
Maintain high standards of workmanship to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
Manage van stock, tools, and PPE to ensure you can achieve high first-time fix rates
Complete all paperwork accurately and liaise closely with service and operations teams
Promote additional services or products where appropriate
What We''re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, plant fitter, or similar
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic fault-finding skills
Welding experience beneficial
Organised, methodical approach with the ability to work independently
Strong customer service and communication skills
Full UK driving licence
Benefits:
-35,000 - -38,000 basic salary
