Job Title: Senior Thermal Modelling Engineer Location: Warton - Onsite Salary: £49,900+ (DOE) What you''ll be doing: Supporting delivery of the team targets in accordance with time, cost and quality Support thermal analysis activities for aircraft assemblies and subsystems Develop high-fidelity finite element models and perform thermal simulations Correlate analytical models with test data Responsible for applying relevant engineering and design standards and processes Your skills and experiences: Essential: Degree in a STEM subject such as Physics, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, System Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computational Modelling, or equivalent experience/product knowledge Experience with Thermal Modelling and direct application Considerable understanding of heat transfer and materials behaviour Proficiency with FEA and thermal analysis tools Experience working within a large, multi-faceted, multi-project environment Understanding of the overall systems engineering lifecycle Experience in engineering or a related field Desirable: Have previously working in an aerospace, automotive or defence background Benefits: As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
