The Role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will:

• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance on critical manufacturing plant and mechanical equipment to ensure smooth operations.

• Respond to reactive maintenance requests, troubleshooting and resolving mechanical issues across heavy machinery.

• Interpret mechanical drawings and manuals to diagnose faults and implement fixes quickly and efficiently.

• Work closely with a team of engineers and report directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, ensuring high standards are maintained.

• Maintain safety protocols while working at heights or within confined spaces when necessary.

We''re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you''ll need:

• Time-served apprenticeship or similar relevant qualifications in mechanical maintenance.

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance within the manufacturing industry (preferably with heavy machinery).

• Strong fault-finding skills, with the ability to quickly assess and resolve mechanical issues.

• Ability to work safely at heights and within confined spaces as required.

• A proactive attitude, with a focus on continuous improvement.
