Our client, a leading provider of advanced RF and communication solutions for aerospace, defence, and security applications, is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team.Key Responsibilities:Lead the mechanical design and development of antenna systems and RF equipmentPerform structural, thermal, and vibration analysis to ensure product performance in harsh environmentsDeliver detailed designs using CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks, Siemens NX, or similar)Conduct and review engineering calculations (stress, strain, fatigue, thermal performance, etc.)Support environmental qualification testing (vibration, shock, thermal, IP ratings)Ensure designs meet military and aerospace standards (e.g. DEF STAN, MIL-STD)Collaborate with RF, electronics, systems, and manufacturing teams to optimise designsLead or support design reviews, technical governance, and documentationProvide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineersSupport manufacturing, suppliers, and production teams, including DFM/DFA activitiesParticipate in root cause analysis and continuous improvement activitiesJob Requirements:Essential:Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineProven experience in a senior mechanical engineering role within defence, aerospace, or complex product environmentsStrong background in mechanical design and analysisExperience with FEA tools (e.g. Ansys, Nastran, Abaqus)Knowledge of environmental and structural requirements for ruggedised ..... full job details .....
